i have pre ordered my device at amazon.de, friend of me too (about 10 min after me). But we have a different situation. In my order is the text that it will not be send before 25.12.09, my friend has no status.

But i still hope that it will be shipped/delivered at 25./26.12.09

why is the estimated delivery date marked off ?

i have talked again with amazon.de and also with another online distributor: alternate.de. amazon couldnt tell me anything about the relese. alternate told me that the release of the n900 was shifted again and will be available mid-end december. If this is true it would be the third shift of the releasedate.

Sound very bad!

If anybody in europe has his device (or knows that it is on the way to him) please let us know and write it here, i really would like to know if all this is true.

I really want this device, it looks perfect for me and in spite of a bad history of being burned by Nokia dropping new devices like a stone (eg N93)

I am at a loss here, what are Nokia doing?? Finally they've created something "worthy" of being dubbed an iPhone competitor and not only are they (as per usual) messing around with release dates and providing no information anywhere about what really matters (when and how much) but they don't even seem to be advertising its launch. The number of shops/operators who claim to never have heard of it or know nothing about it is staggering!

Get a grip Nokia, if you've not already blown the free advertising bandwagon you soon will!

Don't believe it! I had one ordered on 11/05/09 with a estimated ship date of 12/10/09..then next thing I know order was canceled...I called Dell 4 different times and got 4 different answers and then a email from customer service said that the order was canceled due to Dell having misconfigured..I was able to reorder but now my ship date is listed as 2/1/2010.

Update....12/04/09 Just got email and tracking info for my order,I will be getting my N900 Monday.

Ordered from Dell as well on 11/05/2009, order status still shows estimated delivery date as of 12/10/2009... :(

today i have got a mail from amazon.de, that the n900 will be delivered at december, 18-19th 2009. My ordering day is the Oct. 19th. So i still have to wait a long time...

I spoke to Vodafone today and the woman there stated that they are getting them next month (Vodafone UK that is). This is more than anyone at VF has said yet that I've read about and I was quite surprised and prepared for "we've not heard anything/of it/don't know when it is coming (or indeed the old classic, we're not getting it!)

Dell is pathetic.

I ordered the N900 from Dell over the phone on 11/18. They "promised" shipment by the 24th, overnight as a courtesy for making me wait for shipment the following week. As it turns out after the transaction was posted on their website I was actually in line to get shipped on or before 12/28....six weeks from the date I ordered.

What a switch from what was promised on the phone.

No big deal - I'll just call and cancel my order and order it from Nokia for a few bucks more. Well that took three phones calls, an aggregate of 50 minutes on the phone waiting and talking with three different people before I finally was told the order has been cancelled.

I'll never ever ever deal with Dell again. Tremendously misleading at the point of sale and relentlessly obstinate at the point of cancellation.

same thing happened with me...I ordered N900 from dell and took overnight shipping as person on call told me it's available and I can have it next day. After placing the order they told me that my estimated date of delivery is 5th Feb....helll....I cancelled the order at the same time... :)

Nokia is giving N900 for 569$ now...grab it before stocks gets end...I will be ordering tomorrow...
